| 4863 | The district was shocked and' grieved by the very sudden passing of Commodore Perry Hardy on Wednesday, Nov 28 at his home here at Mount Hope, Canada. Mr. Hardy was born Sept, 17 1874 in Hall county, Nebr. and was married, Febr. 18 1903 in Sloan, Ia. Mr. and Mrs. Hardy came to North Battleford in 1922 and took up farming in Mount Hope, in 1923 east of the school; and in the middle thirties moved to their present home where Mr. Hardy passed away. He left to mourn his sudden passing, his widow, a son, and a daughter, Irene, (Mrs. A. Bell) of North Battleford, a granddaughter, Glenora i north Bay, Ontario, also a sister Mrs. Roger Whitehouse of Smith. land, who was here to attend the funeral held Monday, Dec. 3rd, 1951 at 2:00 p. m. from the Sallows Funeral Home with Rev. Clifford Elliott officiating. Many neighbors and friends came to pay their last respects to their friend, C. Hardy and several beautiful floral tributes were silent testimony of the esteem with which Mr. Hardy was held, The Hardy's formerly were Winnebago residents until 1922, when they moved to Canada. Perry Barnett of South Sioux City is a relative of Mr. Hardy. Mr. and Mrs A. E.
